Track the space station in 3D

High-Level Project Summary

International Space Station or ISS for short is a large spacecraft that is built with the help of nations at once. The ISS orbits around the earth carrying scientists in it. It serves as a home station for the crew, astronauts, and scientists that are present there to conduct scientific experiments that are only possible in the no or micro-gravity environment. Our web app is going to be a mockup for its learning, and awareness and inspire the future generation to add value to it. What did we develop? Trackellite is based on creating a web app that tracks and monitors the real-time coordinates, orbit, and velocity of the International Space Station.

Detailed Project Description

At first, we use the earth model by CesiumJs,SatelliteJs and TLE as well. In our project we have got 3D model of earth. And around it, rounds our ISS (CENTAURI-2). First two lines were published by NASA, API packages.

Hackathon Journey

It is one of the best experiences we have had as a team. This is the first Hackathon that we all participate in, so we had really low expectations, but after a few disagreements, we could find how to improve our work as a team in order to improve our project. I think that all of us have really enjoyed this opportunity to show what we are capable of when we put our differences aside. We only have 4 words to describe our experience: Tears, Joy, Excitement and Food.

I want to thank all organizators, mentors, participators. We're really looking forward to participate to Hackaton next year. I'm really sure that we can make it next time. This time due to lack of time we could'nt get that result that we wanted. We kind of misclicked with making a team. We needed to take some 3D designers as well. Actually we heard about hackaton 2 days before this event, so next time we will come with full inventory.
