EXPLORING STARS

High-Level Project Summary

Exploring stars is a demo game, with the future goal of being a game focused on young audiences, this does not mean that the general public cannot use it. In this, you interact with a spacecraft that, being guided through space by the Hubble telescope, explores the different sets of stellar variations. We chose this challenge because we believe that an interactive game or animation is a good solution to encourage interest in astronomy in a simple, fun and educational way.We are hopeful that the game will reach different devices and museums for a bigger impact.

Detailed Project Description

Our Game was created with Scratch.

In this, you interact with a spacecraft that, being guided through space by the Hubble telescope, explores the different sets of stellar variations.

All people can play, and learn about the stars ando about the Space while they are getting fun.

We hope that with this project and its future plans it will be a significant contribution to the educational system and provide a simple way to learn by playing. In addition, in it we want to add in the long term a scoring system that positions local and international users, levels that are increasingly difficult, obstacles such as meteorites and stars, galactic and stellar final bosses.

Space Agency Data

With this we were able to see the behavior of some stars and enrich our knowledge, since we arrived as novices and thanks to these platforms we were able to stop being novices on the subject and that our work represented this

Hackathon Journey

We learned many new things about the variability of stars, we expanded our general knowledge of space, we tested our research skills and understanding of information, as well as our knowledge of programming, although it is not very high.

There were some very stressful times during the Hackathon, but we managed to get through it and end up with a deliverable that did what we wanted. We had to have a lot of fellowship and understanding of each other to achieve it

References

We use Scratch, is a coding platform, and use some images for visual references
