High-Level Project Summary
In the year 2059, Rover "Endeavour" returned to the earth surface with some great news having plant sample which was planted on the Mars greenhouse project. Rover data also shows that they have been producing enough oxygen for 50 humans for about a year. That result leads the scientists to go on mars for further research.In the meantime, ww3 has begun. Almost 99% of the population has died in war. Scientists suggest going on mars with few people alive in that war. After reaching mars, scientists begin to produce more greenhouses for oxygen and food. They train humans to cope with the situations. User can virtualized all those things virtually, Mars Surface, Sun, Rovers, Dry ice etc.

Detailed Project Description
Planetary survival is a project in which we are trying to give a real-life experience to our users to survive on the surface of Mars. Here, we're attempting to work on three distinct issues—emotions, struggle, and achievement—that each of us as individuals needs to deal with on a daily basis. Our users will get a first-hand taste of what it's like to survive on their own.
What exactly does it do??
- Planetary survival is a virtual reality-based project which will show an individual what it looks like to survive on the surface of mars. Through this project, we are trying to show the after-landing scenario on mars through virtual reality. It'll show tasks like, how to produce oxygen and then how to use it, how to cultivate plants and trees in a greenhouse environment, to produce food. We are trying to show steps by steps procedure of how to transform mars into a human-friendly planet.
How does it work??
- 'Planetary survival' is like a complete guideline for surviving on mars. The main focal point will be on building the greenhouse. Since greenhouse can be the only source to grow plants.
Organics are carbon-based molecules — key ingredients to life. If Curiosity finds organics in ancient rocks, thereʼs a better chance Mars once had good conditions for small life forms called microbes. A great place to look for ancient organics today is in rock layers. Scientists think Endeavour landing site, Gale Crater, contains those special layers, created in ancient times when water was present . After finding a suitable place a greenhouse will be built there. An individual person will be able to experience the whole process through virtual reality.
What benefits does it have??
- As previously mentioned it's a complete guideline for surviving on mars. So, by using this an individual will be able to experience, what his/her life would be like on mars. So, if there's a situation when our beloved earth will be completely uninhabitable they will be prepared to start their life on mars.
What do u hope to achieve??
- Through this, mankind will be able to survive on mars.
-The user will gain the knowledge to face the situation on mars.
- Users will be able to experience mars and its environment.
The project is developed using the Unity and Blender. Blender is a 3d modelling software for creating 3d model. Where Unity is a game engine which allow developing vr applications. We have used c# as a programming language and some advanced Data structure and Algorithms. Here is a complete list of the technology used by us :

Hackathon Journey
This was our first Space App participation. While finding resources for idea, we learnt quite a lot about many projects finished and running by NASA. Also we learnt many information about outer space as well as earth's atmosphere.
