A look through desertification as a consequence of climate change

High-Level Project Summary

As a solution for the desinformation about the climate change, our team developed a 3 minutes video that aboard the climate change from desertification caused by temperature increase. Why do we decided to address it from the aforementioned?Well, ccurrently Mexico is experiencing the impact of years of bad administration of natural resourses no caring about contamination by Big Industries, what causes an increase of temperature, interrumpting (in part) water cyles. We also decided to add information about satellites that could possibly provide useful information in benefit of the country. This important because it could help us arouse interest and create awareness to reduce climate impact

Detailed Project Description

The proyect is a video, which has been created such a way that, since the beginning to the end, the spectator will can be informed and aware about the current situation of global warming. It has the Benefit that the viewers will have the awareness aforementioned, and with a certain number of people, the impact of the aid will be notorious in the environment. All the purposes of the proyect will be reached with a Good structure and comunication of the topic. Finally, to be able to carry out this proyect, we have worked with different programs to record the video, these programs stand out for their facility, speaking about the time of production to make videos; the programs we use to produce our proyect are: render forest. com, adobe premiere pro and clipchamp.com

Space Agency Data

We used NASA Worldview to be able to see how the earth is constantly changing, and with that visual information, we had an idea of how global warming will affect the planet in the coming years if we don't take care of it.

Like Arset climate change for the field of satellite research in groundwater monitoring using observations from NASA's Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) missions

as support for data analysis as a solution in the country.

Hackathon Journey

This was our first time participating in the space apps challenge, so also our first time in a hackathon. If we can describe this experience, we would use these three words: challenging, informative and fun.

We went through various situations throughout the development of the video, one of them was that we did not expect that condensing a lot of information in 3 minutes would be a difficult task, but it was.

This made us learn new metods to work as a team, which in our opinion is extremely important because the support between people always generates new knowledge and possible good results. Also we learn a lot of new information about climate change, as well as research methods.

What inspired us was the actual situation of our country, as citizens of México we belive that science can make a difference and be used as a tool to help.

We solve setbacks working as a team, sharing knowledge and complementing information.

We thank the organizers of the event and those who supported us at times when we were very clear about how to deal with a certain situation
