Climate change in Tajikistan

High-Level Project Summary

Being the first Instructional design company in Tajikistan, we set up a mission to create an online-course: “The influence of Climate Change on Tajikistan” on our platform. The disappointing factor still remains: the incognizance of the English language in Tajikistan. Therefore, we decided to create an “informational bridge” between NASA’S global information about Climate Change and Tajikistan. This “informational bridge” will be obtained by taking NASA’S information about Climate Change and translating it into the Tajik language. Apart from translating NASA’s articles, we will also include in our course information about the current state of the climate in Tajikistan.

Detailed Project Description

Our work will provide our Tajik audience with an efficient online course which consists of multiple modules. It will give a strong ecological-learning base that will show students ways to prevent climate disaster in Tajikistan.

The biggest distinguishing feature of our course will be that the students will have an opportunity to share each other's ideas and thoughts on our platform’s discussion board.

In addition to this, it will build a strong ecological-community in Tajikistan.

We are sure that such courses will change people’s attitude about the protection of our motherland's climate.

For the fulfillment of our mission, we have used the following tools:

Adobe Premiere Pro - for creating video

2.Adobe After Effects - to add animations

3. Camtasia - to add subtitles to the video

4.AudioLab - for recording and sound edition

For creating the landing page (for visualizing climate change data in the form of graphics and diagrams) we used Tilda.

For creating our online course, we are aiming to use our own LMS platform smarthub.tj.

We have used open NASA data from three main sources to get accurate information about climate change. images of change or visualization and Earth science in action to see how our climate is changing from both natural causes and human activities.

Hackathon Journey

Nasa Space Apps was the most productive and wonderful hackathon we have ever participated in. Hackathon helped us to gain a life-lasting experience in terms of innovation, creation, and digitalization. In addition, we improved our critical thinking, showcase our skills, and valuable experience in collaboration. We firmly believe that each member of our team contributed their best and mastered essential skills for their future commitments. We learned that while working with a team mutual understanding should be prioritized to reach the expected outcome. With the resources of NASA, we have found various information about climate change and its effects on Earth. We got inspired once we discovered that there is much to be done and shared in terms of climate change in our country. Given this opportunity, we wanted to nurture a long-lasting bond between NASA and Tajikistan that can assist in the awareness of people on climate change.

After studying the NASA resources, we realized that we need to raise awareness of people's climate change in our country. Because not all people have access to NASA resources and the majority don't use the English language. And on our national websites very less information has been provided on the current issue. As a wonderful team of online course-creating platform, we have decided to create a new course on climate change in Tajik language. While working on our project we widely used NASA resources. Our team- working skills with the supportive sphere of our wonderful team was our precious asset.
