High-Level Project Summary
The climate is changing, so we should change too. Currently, the world is affected by the decisions that human beings are making such as the use of polluting vehicles, excessive use of fossils, deforestation, among many other causes. This is causing climate changes in different parts of the world, and Hermosillo is not the exception. Currently, Hermosillo has fallen victim of flooding coming from hurricanes, which symbolizes a problem, since the city is designed for desert climate only. For these reasons we made a video in order to raise awareness about why climate change is affecting Hermosillo.

Detailed Project Description
The team believes that the best way to make people aware of climate change is by making an infomercial with the purpose to educate, but without losing the essence that draws people in with a creative touch.
The main theme of the video is revolved around the aspects that Hermosillenses have experienced in recent days. As mentioned before, Hermosillo has a desertic climate, so the consequences that Hurricane Orlene has brought us have been disastrous as the city does not have the necessary infrastructure; scraps have run into each other, cars are dragged by currents of water and there are destroyed traffic lights.
At present, several investigations have been carried out to know the behaviors of current hurricanes, and it was found out that scientists still do not find solid evidence on the intensification of hurricane frequencies. However, the power of the storms that generate them have increased. Storms are now becoming more powerful and faster in a 24-hour span compared to 30 years ago, becoming stronger by increasing 20.92 km/h on previously established winds.
Space Agency Data
We read information from the different sources that were recommended to us, such as NASA GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE, to understand a little more thoroughly what global warming consists of and what would be the negative effects that it causes. Likewise, the official records of Mexico were consulted to analyze how climate change has evolved and progressed over the years.
Hackathon Journey
At the beginning, most of the team members were a bit nervous because it would be the first time that they would participate in a Space Apps Challenges, so they did not know what to expect before this new experience, but as time passed, it became clear more thoroughly what the event consisted of, and at the end they were able to enjoy it.
For the last three days, the members did not have to encounter any great difficulty, so in the phases of making the video they worked successfully. We were able to experience an event that allowed us to learn more about climate change and, plus, having a good time with friends.
