High-Level Project Summary
This project uses NASA's EONET API integrating with an interactive globe to show the disasters occurring in different areas of the earth. The main purpose of this project is to show the most significant cause for a disaster to occur in a particular area. Knowing what caused the disaster is important to decide if such future disaster can be prevented or need to be avoided. Our project will alert people before a disaster might occur as well as making them knowledgably strong to protect themselves.

Detailed Project Description
The project will be a web based software, where an interactive globe will represent earth. The globe will show the current disasters depicted by the images that are occurring in different places of earth in real time. Selecting any depicted images will provide information about the most significant causes of that disaster.

Also, searching for any particular type of disaster will show the disasters according to their danger level. Again, all the registered user of this software will be notified if any disaster has the possibility to occur in their location.

All of this information will be calculated by the data provided by NASA’s EONET API.
Our project uses NASA's disaster related data to show which disaster may happen or happening in any location. In addition to this, our project also calculates the possible reason for the disaster to take place and shows the most significant cause of the disaster for the users to know.

Hackathon Journey
This was a great experience for our whole team. This was the first time we participated in NASA Space Apps Challenge and to tell the truth, it was worth it. Staying up whole night, getting tensed and excited while working on the project, getting to know about so many people including the participants and also the mentors and volunteers of the event, this was a memorable incident to experience.
The mentors had encouraged us a lot. We learnt many things from them as well as from seeing other participants. Knowing how to handle pressure and smile over it, is a great lesson that we got to learn here.
Our team chose "How Does Climate Change Affect You?" affect you and thought doing a project like this one was main due to the Sunamganj Flood incident in Bangladesh that happened this year.
Utilizing NASA's data in the most efficient way was really a difficult task. But we overcame it with our team combination. We thought about how to make the use of data more interactive and interesting to the users as well as trying to make it different from other same projects.
This really was a special event for us. We gained a lot of things from here. We'd really like to thank BASIS for organizing such an amazing event like this one. And definitely most of the credit goes to NASA for coming up with such a brilliant idea.
