Climate Change and Food Security in Southern Africa

High-Level Project Summary

Sub-Saharan Africa has got many families that rely on agriculture. The onset of climate change has caused the majority of these families to starve as agriculture has ceased to be as productive as it used to be.We are trying to ensure that this does not remain so by asking people to help and deal with this issue.

Detailed Project Description

Our solution is a visual aid that can be used to show the impact of climate change on African communities. We dive into how African families rely on clearly defined seasons and how much they are affected by irregular seasons. To cap it off we mention how the use of morden technologies can be used to make things better and how we can cope with this problem.

Hackathon Journey

We participated in this competition as environment enthusiasts with a passion to tell a story of our community to raise awareness of how deep climate change affects us.We also wish to use this opportunity to make sure to raise concern on how certain aspects that are overlooked have got negative impact and far reaching cosequences.
