Our project aims to reduce the wasted electricity we use in our day-to-day electricity uses, weworked on controlling the house appliances with our mobiles or laptops to make it easier to seewhich is working and which is not throughout the day.

Detailed Project Description
We built a smart home system where the user can control the lights of the house and the street by his phone or laptop, also the user gets information about the lights and whether they are turned on or off, and the application notifies the user whether it is day or night to make sure the lights are off during the day. The project depends on the network connection between the lights and the laptop where the laptop sends commands via wifi to control the lights. The system using the Halocode controller and the LDR module can send signals about the light and whether it's day or night. We used mBlock software to code the interface and the Halocode controller code. We hope to upgrade our project to control all house appliances in the future.
Space Agency Data
We got inspired to work on this project from the smart lamps which are controlled by an IR remote control, so we thought why don't we use our phones and the home network to communicate with lights or any appliances in the house.
Hackathon Journey
It was so much fun, we learned a lot about networks and digital and analog signals and we knew the basics of programming.
We faced some problems during building our project but we used to search for the roots of the problem to solve it and make sure it won't happen again.
