Eye in AI

High-Level Project Summary

Have you ever thought about how blind people live? They are not the people who cannot see but they are the people that we can not see. Thus, I am working on the Eye in AI which is smart glass designed to help 46 Million people who severe blindness. The glass will work to transform the image meeting with the blind user into audio. I will also make sure that I have a facilitated and simple interference that is suitable for everyone. The glass can detect objects, faces, currency, and colors, and do OCR, telling you the date and time, all of that in Arabic which can make us succeed on google smart glasses. Finally, I am working now to add the Egyptian curriculum to it.

Detailed Project Description

In general, visually impaired people find it difficult to deal with travel and various

types of challenges in their daily lives. Most often, smart sticks are used to find

barriers and obstacles next to them. As a result, visually impaired people do not

know exactly what the challenges they are facing and must rely entirely on lead rods

and training to navigate safely and in the right direction. This project focuses on the

development of a guidance system that uses smart glasses in combination with

transforming image into an audio. My project allows visually impaired people to

know which obstacles are involved, as a result, it will help to perform daily tasks

such as recognizing others, identifying objects and colors. When the user tries to

reach the goal, he listens a voice that interprets the goal. the visually impaired hear

the user-recorded position instead of the alarm signal by smart ultrasonic sticks.

Space Agency Data

I did not use NASA data. NASA focuses on exploring space, no one cares about blind people, and that is why I decided to help them with my project.

Hackathon Journey

It was a really amazing journey.
