Detailed Project Description

For many thousands of years, the ancient people like our ancestors have gained their knowledge by gazing the stars, identifying landmarks and surface of the lands to find oasis on deserts, navigating at sea, building homes and communities et cetera. One of the knowledge known today is Feng Shui (a Chinese word with a direct translation to English is “Wind Water”, Chinese believe the element of wind and water play important role in mankind as they impact our lives so we can live happily and peacefully on this planet earth).

There are tools in Feng Shui to help us diagnose the location to determine its suitability for our purpose like finding a harmony site to build our dream houses. As an illustration below shows how some Feng Shui knowledge coupled with NASA data to determine the suitability of building a dream house at a site.

The methodological that we will be using is a top down approach by applying NASA data retrieved from satellites and a bottom up approach by using Feng Shui on ground to identify a suitable site for building a house.

Applying a top down approach (viewing from satellite observation):

Using NASA data such as from the https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/map#6/3.535/98.679, to determine no natural disaster and human adaptability climate on a piece of land in Malaysia

Then applying a bottom up approach (observing the landscape using Feng Shui).

Hackathon Journey

There are much more in depth ancient space exploration that we can see today like the Great Pyramid of Giza that has been build by our ancient civilization for space exploration and religion beliefs. Their hard work and dedication with their knowledge of astrology passes down to our generations are very much appreciated. This knowledge is still applicable until today although we are now using high technology for space exploration to have a wider and closer look to the space and beyond.
