Detailed Project Description
What exactly does our project do?
We created a web application - Horizon to visualize the Solar Flux data. You can select different parameters and get results on the present data. You can also download the image of the graph which is being displayed.
How does it work?
The data is scraped through a website. Later it is processed and used to visualize on the web application.
What benefits does it have?
It can be an interactive tool that is accessible on both desktop and mobile. Data visualization is the most common way of interpreting data. A person might ignore a large set of tables but will surely go through data displayed as Line graphs, Pie charts, etc.
What tools and coding languages did you use to develop your project?
It is created by using Python Programming Language, Streamlit and Pandas library.
Space Agency Data
Solar Flux Data from Canadian Space Agency.
Hackathon Journey
We started the Hackathon a bit late and due to time constraints, we could not implement some features and use other datasets. But we are proud of what we built in the given timeframe.
