High-Level Project Summary

We developped a racing game designed to non-scientist people that integrate scientist research into the gameplay in multiple ways.We consider that playing games is the most efficient way nowadays to learn.

Detailed Project Description

Our game is providing an easy way to the player to understand the data that our researches discover as variables such as: animations, obstacles, tools... that the PARKER SOLAR PROBE can face during his path around the sun.

The concept of PARKER is an online racing game with adaptation to play it with VR headset. The race consists of 5 players competing in different tracks around the sun . They need to deal with solar effects during the race such as solar winds and storms that influence the handling of your spaceship. In addition, players need to deal with occasional spaceweather such as coronal mass ejections that sabotage their input commands(left becomes right and right becomes left as an example) . Players can pick items during the race such as an item that plays the role of a magnetosphere which works as a shield that defends them from other obstacles or other player sabotage power that they have gained from other items .We truly think that this game is the key for non-scientist people to understand the new data NASA is continiously providing us because almost everyone enjoy gaming and find it one of the most efficient way to learn new things .Team ELITES really hopes that this project will see the light one day and get sponsored by a big developing company. To realise this project, we used : blend for visual studios , browser editor , photoshop , DLS , blender , html , css , javascript.

Space Agency Data

We used some NASA ressources to collect data about PARKER SOLAR PROBE such as space weather, Magnetosphere, Ionosphere, Thermosphere and mesosphere.

Hackathon Journey

It is a very unique experience

we really experienced a whole new type of challenges. it tested our teamwork skills , our softness in adapting to obstacles that w encountred and finally our endurances .

my team and i picked this challenges because we admire astronomy . we approched the gaming method because as gamers we can garanty from experiencethat gaming is a very efficient way to learn

to resolve setbacks and challenges we picked a solution that can be compatible with any obstacles we may encounter during our work.
