MURABI MISSION

High-Level Project Summary

As MURABI we are developing the challenge Exploring venus together which aims to design a long duration power center using the temperature of the planet. The prototype would consist of 4 motors joined by magnets, and a more efficient energy storage system than lithium. The heat from Venus enters the peltier, one of the materials, and the motor starts working. The magnets generate electromagnetic energy then it is passed to the energy storage system. The 4 motors together give 31.78 hours of work for the rover. The charging center will produce, in 12 hours, the energy needed for 31.78 hours; this rover can be recharged in 5 seconds. All this can be done indefinitely because the engines would.

Hackathon Journey

We learned the powerful tool of how to present an idea. An idea can be great on its own, but if it is not presented and communicated properly it cannot impact it's first baby steps. We learned that convincing an audience takes much more practice than just listing out small facts of the product or indulging them of technical information. It consists of a dance between these two, and adjusting their parameters into something that can be fun to watch but also being interesting to hear and care about.

We learned also learned a lot about research. A lot. Our problem concerns very complex topics that requires years of investing, development, and human intellect. We used old concepts that can be revived into new applications and by the looks of it, it would require an engineering miracle to be able to solve this huge and exciting challenge.

We are delighted that we were able to experience this Hackathon. Likewise, we learned so much about so many things, that being technical terms of how induction works or how to speak to people. It was fun!
