High-Level Project Summary
Our project is a Grayscale image processing system on our hosted website. Images obtained from JunoCam are stripped images with three filters namely red ,green and blue in the form of framelets of equal widths and heights thus our project concerns the raw images(grayscale) obtained from NASA JunoCam website and we process those images to digital colored images so that images can be visually clear and well contrasted. Thus processed images obtained are well color contrasted and thus they can be used to draw better insights, better analysis of the conditions prevailing in the Jovian system and around it's ring and moons.Efficiency of our project lies in it's processing of humungous data.
Detailed Project Description
Our project is primarily dealing with the processing of grayscale images obtained from JunoCam installed in Juno spacecraft orbiting in Jovian system and around it's ring and moons.
Now, coming to the type of image data which we are processing and analyzing for our project ,is a grayscale (images which have only spotted pixel contrast means that they have only intensity component and have no color contrast which ranges from lowest in black color to the highest intensity in white color) image dataset consisting of five unprocessed image which includes three images with red, green and blue filters and two images namely map-projected image and the other one being raw image which is needed to processed.
As we scale up to the processing of the raw images , we are with a python script which is processing the raw images and we integrated the same python script as backend to our hosted website where after selecting the images and clicking on submit we get a output processed image which is a colored image with better contrast range and also the same output image data can be compiled and stored for drawing insights for scientific purposes, research and analysis of the Jovian system and it's cloud and conditions of it's surroundings so that the scientists who have worked hard to launch the spacecraft, probe and rover for the research purposes that goal of their should be gained so in order to achieve that goal they need to have the better contrasted images which they can use to draw insights and use that to accelerate their progress.
