High-Level Project Summary

To solve this problem, we have to do quantitative and qualitative research because it’s the best way to help us find suitable solutions with using explore past ideas and experiences. Our main focus was to think about multifunctional tools, to commit to the materials and resources available to make this, and so we started doing a lot of research, and we came up with these tools, listed below would be very useful for the astronaut there to live and work. But the difficulty for us in designing and thinking about these tools was the limited resources and material.

Detailed Project Description

In this challenge, we've come up with a list of tools and furniture that will be in this home, that will help an astronaut with so much fewer resources to accomplish his mission, to live, work and develop.

we began to imagine ourselves going on a year-long journey to Mars, we find our habitat and it was divided into Lab, a private workstation, an Exercise space, a Communication room, Kitchen, a Bedroom, a Bathroom, a garden, and other tools like Medical tools.

Some Examples of furniture we can make in our habitat:

Lab: Beaker, test tube, U tube.

Private workstation: DesChair, Bookcase.

Astronaut use these two sections for work

Exercises space: Flat bench, Barbell bench, Dumbbell.

Astronaut use this section to help to keep him healthy

Communication room: communication tools

Astronaut use this section to communicate with the earth

Kitchen: Kitchen Cabinet, Spoon, knife.

Bedroom: Clocoubed, light

Bathroom: Toilet, shower, Comb.

Garden: Axe, Garden fork, Spade.

Astronaut use these sections to help to live more comfortably

Medical tools: gloves Scalpel, Stethoscope, Syringe, Frist aid kit

We've developed tools and furniture, in terms of space and accuracy, and in terms of limited materials, so we're hoping to design and implement these tools.

Software: SolidWorks:3D CAD design software

Fusion 360 3D CAD design software

AutoCAD 3D Max

there were the major resource help our imagination to develop and resolve this challenge.

we use to learn and imagine what the habitat on mars looks like and also help design our habitat and know what is the main tools and furniture important there to live and work.

Hackathon Journey

In a short time, we were able to gain a great and enjoyable experience.

Working in teamwork, how to manage and organize time properly, how to divide tasks properly among the Time people, and how to interact with new people.

Life on Mars is the future of space, and our attention has been drawn by space agencies to Mars and its life, so we decided to go through a great experiment and pick this challenge.

The deep research from which we acquired the knowledge and the imagination led us to the solution and the development of it.

We tried to design tools and furniture that were versatile for me to solve the problem of limited resources, and to overcome it with the dimensions that would be useful and necessary for me to have an astronaut there.

we thank all of the NASA Space App Cairo people for cooperating and helping us throughout the hackathon.
