OUTFITTING A MARS HABITAT: A 3D PRINT CHALLENGE

High-Level Project Summary

We are a team consisting of three disciplines, including mechatronics engineering, construction engineering and civil engineering, so we decided to choose this challenge because it suits our knowledge and science. We also have important tools or tools. We can use these properties to make furniture for the home using plastic and concrete printers, but what was a major obstacle during our research is how to use these materials in small designs that can be assembled later through spaces in the pieces as in the Lego game, and here was our first inspiration Hence, we suggested making a circular body similar to that of plastic water bridges due to its flexibility and accuracy

Detailed Project Description

We have made flexible cleats to connect the elements to the calf frame and they are fixed by screws and external connections in order to install these elements. As for the number and search tools, it is possible to manufacture them by means of an iron printer and make plastic handles in order to hold them well. We have made recreational tools such as the Rwick cube And chess is in addition, but it is possible to make many simple games that can be exploited by the plastic printer in these matters in relation to the concrete ball, whose first function is the manufacture of furniture

Space Agency Data

In response to NASA's 3D printing challenge, standalone 3D printing technologies can be used to provide safe, comfortable, and efficient homes on the Red Planet, and 3D printing technologies can be used to provide the tools needed to solve the problem at hand.

Hackathon Journey

It was a special experience for us, in which we learned how to work together and share opinions and ideas, in addition to the various activities carried out by the association that adopted this event.

I would first like to thank Dr. Mahmoud Asaad, who was with us from the beginning of the challenge, in addition to Dr. Mona Al-Dhamidi, who stayed up all night with us for guidance, and certainly the Ngate Association, who did this workshop for the first time at An-Najah National University
