Awards & Nominations

THE MARTIANS has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!

Global Nominee

We are astronauts who has newly arrived on the Red Planet, and we want to design printable tools.

High-Level Project Summary

As we know on Mars we have a shortage of material so we decided to make our designs multi-use. Furthermore, we have developed a spinner containing tools that can do six different functions. It's also a part of a fun game, Furniture that can be used in different functions, And finally, a modified rover wheel which is deeper tread than curiosity and it also leaves a pattern in the sand that indicates which way the Rover comes from.

Detailed Project Description

Our challenge is to design tools furniture and other items to assist us on our one clear mission on Mars we list the most of our tool and our new Rover wheel has been damaged We We have defined the main tools and furniture to support us on this new ignition on mark in addition to that we have modified their preference we'll leave the cost we added an output case to protect the wheel content dust and rocks, Often oh we need official deeper trend to these directional pattern intent after that we have made 3D printed prototypes of the Rover wheel and the multitasking thinner and in the future we are going to do many creative divine tools and furniture soon, it is just the beginning

Space Agency Data

We have used the resources that are provided bu NASA space apps such as 3D-model data base and the media resources, we have made a better modified model of the Perseverance rover wheel.

Hackathon Journey

• How would you describe your NASA space apps experience? What do you learn?

- our NASA space apps journey was a great opportunity to improve our soft skills such as team work, creativity and searching skills, in addition to the software skills like Microsoft PowerPoint, SOLIDWORKS and vedio editing tools and programs.

• What inspired your team to choose this challenge?

- As a mechanical engineering students 3D- printing is a very interesting topic and it's related to our department so we wanted to know more about it and getting this great experience.

• What was your approach to develop this project?

- there was lots of ways to develop this project such as:

1) NASA database.

2) watching related movies.

3) YouTube videos.

4) Google.

5) Asking our friends who study in other fields like computer since and architecture.

• How did your team resolve setbacks and challenges?

- Through consultation between members.

• Is there anyone you'd like to thank? And why?

- Yes, we would like to thank the mentors, organizers and NASA space for all effort.
