Moonquake Simulation- Simulación de sismos lunares

High-Level Project Summary

Our main research is to develop a virtual simulator of seismic movements on the moon in order to visualize and publicize aspects to take into account when creating different habitats or constructions. A fact: Seismic movements can last + or -10 minutes or weeks, with an intensity of + or -5 points on the Richter scale, so we raised the possibility of building power generators given the characteristics of the moon.At the same time, we investigated the fall of meteorites on the moon and thus "modified" the NASA Aerospace Agency's DART project as a viable alternative with low monetary and technical cost.

Detailed Project Description

Our research is mainly based on visualizing and raising awareness of currently known technical aspects of the behavior of the lunar surface, giving rise to individual and collective creativity to generate synergies in multiple and transversal developments.

Viewing earthquakes in 3D, in our case, gave rise to:

#We design monitoring systems for frequencies, amplitude and length of seismic waves alternative to the existing ones and if we are allowed the freedom to think and abstract ourselves we study the possibility of dissimilar movements on the moon (rebound effect of waves and rotating in 2 dimensions, 3 dimensions..)

#We propose new materials to build buildings and concepts for the development of structures so that they dissipate, redirect, contain and, if necessary, absorb seismic movements.

#We discovered that it is viable, possible, economical and practical to generate energy taking advantage of the natural movements of the moon

#Developments a viable and economical alternative to NASA's DART project and international partners to monitor the cosmos and study it. We basically propose mounting, anchoring the space satellites on the asteroids and that they travel on them. If we wish, we can comment on them.

We hope that you like our humble work =) and above all, that it manages to sow curiosities and flourish in you

The programs we used to obtain this experience were the following:

#Blender for models and animations.

#Godot engine to give actions to our models and animations.

Space Agency Data

We use the pages recommended by the aerospace agencies Nasa, Jaxa and the National Commission for Space Activities of Argentina (CONAE) on the hackathon 2022 website and complement it, nurture it, with our knowledge and cultural foundations.

Some strategies that we tested and developed were playful (Learning through PLAY), dissonant, disruptive, divergent, complex, critical, abstractions, inductions/deductions and wide range of experiences supported by information provided by aerospace agencies to represent artistically (Dadaism) and in an informative way our proposal =)

Hackathon Journey

The Space Apps experience is very educational; we learned to program and make 3D models, we converged synergies and generational and cultural gaps were avoided. The group is made up of young people aged 13, 14 and 49 and indirectly the gap extends from 10 to 55 years old...

The main focus is reporting on seismic events on the moon, which is not well known in many academic places.

We thank the organization of the event at the Córdoba República Argentina headquarters and Cossy Rafael Issasi, since he inspired us to form the group. (Unfortunately he will not be present due to illness)

Side note: evolve space app challenge platform.

#English translator offer

#system to go back if something was deleted and thus not lose what was written

#Let the page expand or split

#Evolve this same interface with direct online communication with experts and not go to others... that would not close but would modify this one.

CORDIAL HUGS =)
