Space Scorpions has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!

Global Nominee

MoonWalk Poject

High-Level Project Summary

As the Space scorpions team, we designed a website for the make a moonquake map challenge due to our interest in the moon and data. Thanks to this website, we have provided you with an easier way to analyze the seismic events on the moon. The most striking part of this project we made is the 3D moon model we made. This lunar model contains a lot of information such as seismic events on the moon and landing points of Apollo missions. More importantly, we shared the source codes of all these works we have done publicly. In short, with our interest in software and our passion for astronomy, space scorpions is a team consisting of 5 teens who look to the future with hope and determine Atatürk's

Detailed Project Description

our project we analysed sismic data which were collected by ALSEP and EASEP instruments that were placed by Apollo astronaut .Than we put these data to a 3D moon model that we designed.

We used a software called ArcGIS to create this moon model. As the pros of this software, we can say its easy to use. We adapted this 3D sphere we made to a website that we made with HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding languages. By making the source codes of this website public, we contributed to the collective knowledge and showed how open to development our project is.

When we come to the advantages of our site, it stands out with its easy interface, customized design and news. To summarize, it is our primary goal to combine our interest in space and software in one project and transfer it to new generations, and we will continue on this path.

Space Agency Data

We used NASA’s resources that were provided to us .Addition to that we used articles from IEEE and data from Plantary Data System

We used this resouces to make our moon model.

Hackathon Journey

I think we can start our Hackathon journey with how we were greeted. When we first arrived at the work area, we were very impressed with the environment, and in a very short time we were greeted by friendly volunteers.During the working process, we spent our time working together in the most efficient way we could, and we learned the subtleties of being a team with. Thanks to our project, we learned a lot of information about moonquakes through NASA and learned new information. We would like to thank the mentors, officials and organizers who supported us on this path.
