NASA Renaissance

High-Level Project Summary

NASA Renaissance is a game with many unique levels, each level giving the player the opportunity to explore a project from NASA history by walking around it. We think that games are easily accessible for all ages and everyone can find a way to have fun while learning new things.

Detailed Project Description

Our game will have multiple levels, each allowing the user to explore a NASA project in detail from their many years of history. We chose our project to be a game because, in our opinion, they are easily accessible to all ages and everyone can find a way to have fun while learning new things. And the process itself is so easy - like in any 3rd person game, you can walk around your chosen NASA project using just 4 keys, while descriptions of its parts pop up as you approach the model. The descriptions range from technical and historical to entertaining., since the point is to make it as interesting as possible for the player.

Space Agency Data

The information we used in our project was carefully selected from all over the internet!

Hackathon Journey

Our experience was filled with obstacles but also a lot of fun. We lost track of our project's progress more times than I can count on one hand, yet each time we came back more prepared than ever. If we had to describe our team, we would use the phrase "a well-oiled machine." Because of the different qualities and knowledge we have, and the strong bond we built during this competition, we were able to achieve our goal and we can't wait to continue with the development of this project.

References

We used the Unreal Engine platform, and Quixel to it. In the future, we will use platforms like Blender to develop detailed NASA models ourselves.
