On my way to the sun

High-Level Project Summary

It's inspiring to all the young readers about the spacecraft.

Detailed Project Description

This mission is the culmination of 60 years work by the best and brightest scientific and engineers mind, that is the parkor crobe, the spacecraft that will plunge through the sun's atmosphere called the corona and fly closer to the sun's surface than any spacecraft in history. It travels over 430,000 miles per hour thats like traveling from Newyork to Tokyo in less than a minute. In 2018 our parker solar probe, humanity's first mission to touch the sun. The sun surface is hot temperature exceeding 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit but the real surprise is its atmosphere is even hotter, 300 times hotter.Parker Solar Probe has been designed to withstand the extreme conditions and temperature fluctuations for the mission. The key lies in its custom heat shield and an autonomous system that helps protect the mission from the Sun’s intense light emission, but does allow the coronal material to “touch” the spacecraft. In space, the temperature can be thousands of degrees without providing significant heat to a given object or feeling hot. Why? Temperature measures how fast particles are moving, whereas heat measures the total amount of energy that they transfer. Particles may be moving fast, but if there are very few of them, they won’t transfer much energy. Since space is mostly empty, there are very few particles that can transfer energy to the spacecraft. Facing the corona brutal heat and radiation conditions, parker solar probe will finally provide answers to some of the most important questions about how our sun works.

Space Agency Data

Our star Sun is held by its own gravity and solar material and magnetic field constantly flows out from it.The atmosphere where they flow is called Corona.

The constant stream of particles flowing from Sun are known as Solar winds.

Corona is around 300 times hotter than Photosphere(lowest layer of Sun).

Solar wind accelerate up to miles per hour outside Corona. These Solar winds can disrupt our satellite and technology.

There is wrinkly boundary between outside and inside Corona due to flows of plasma.

The temperature (800 degrees Celsius), space dust were a massive challenge for Parker probe and to overcome that it was made by Thermal Sheild with Carbon Composite materials around 1377°C tolerant.

Parker probe also had to move past 7 planets including Venus,......

Hackathon Journey

We had used parker solar pober to protect a society that is increasingly dependent on technology from the threats of space weather.Parker Solar Probe helps us to know and study about comets, detected radio emissions from Venus' atmosphere, and even captured the first-ever images of Venus' surface in visible wavelengths. The primary science goals for the mission are to trace how energy and heat move through the solar corona and to explore what accelerates the solar wind as well as solar energetic particles.

The Sun also affects Earth in less familiar ways. It is the source of the solar wind.

Disturbances in the solar wind shake Earth's magnetic field and pump energy into the radiation belts, part of a set of changes in space weather.Space weather can change the orbits of satellites, shorten their lifetimes, or interfere with onboard electronics.

Truth is no rocket supply could supply the amount of power required to get Parker solar probe as close to sun as it need to be, so need to borrow force from Venus. Spacecraft can leverage gravity of other plants to speed or to slow down. This is called gravity assist.

The planetary gravity assist changes a spacecrafts heliocentric speed by rotating direction of spacecraft’s fly by velocity. Parker solar probe will use seven Venus gravity assist manoeuvres over its mission to dive closer and closer to Sun.

At venus camera detected a bright rim around the edge of planet that may be night glow— light emitted by oxygen atom high in the atmosphere that recombine into molecules in nightside
