What we developed? We developed an easy and effective way to learn about parker solar probe (comic book) physical and online editions, physical edition consists of hard paper and embedded system. Comic books are the easiest way to make children understand complex scientific topics because it is mostly depending on graphics that catches the eyes of young audience and keep them entertained. Detailed Project Description
The challenge:
We choose on the way to the sun challenge that is about parker solar probe, the objective of the challenge is to develop a creative way to make the story of parker solar probe easy for young audience to understand the scientific events.
What does our project do?
We made a comic book about parker solar probe journey from earth till it reaches the sun, the comic book contains scientific details and real events with a great plot and excitement.
We used (krita) and (photoshop) for all the graphic art in the comic book, we also provide a very entertaining experience for the readers by adding an embedded system that has an anthropomorphic sun and a board game of a maze that make the reader live the experience of traveling to the sun.
We also have a website for the comic book so that it is available online.
What are the benefits of our project?
One of the best and most obvious benefits of our comic book is that it can be more fun and easier to read than a regular scientific book.
Our comic book doesn’t intimidate struggling readers with an overwhelming page of text and it’s also helpful for children with learning difficulties; children with autism can learn a lot about identifying emotions through the images in the comic book

Our comic book will expand your child’s bank of knowledge because it combines scientific knowledge with an exciting context.
We provide real graphical pictures from the real events so that children obtain the big picture more easily and with enthusiasm than they would from using textbooks alone.
What we hope to achieve:
We really hope that in the future we turn all NASA stories into comic books because we believe that every superhero has to have a comic book about his life, we want to inspire the new generation and make them believe that there are real superheroes in this world and one day they can be superheroes too.
The tools and coding language that we used:
We used hard paper and wires in the comic book the physical edition, for the online edition we made a website using visual studio code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), for the graphics of the comic book we used
(Krita), graphics of the website background we used (Graphic cloud), and the videos by (character animator), (cap cut),(canva).
We wanted to add an embedded system to our comic book so that the reader can interact with it.

Space Agency Data
Used data:
All the data we used in this project was from the links that NASA space agency provided at the end of the challenge description, we used this data in our comic book for educational purposes, this data gave us the idea of parker being a real superhero and from this we were inspired to make a comic book because we love comic books but being able to make a comic book about a real scientific miracle is marvelous.
Hackathon Journey
The best thing about the hackathon is that it’s a win win experience.
Each one of our team have learned something from the hackathon, our hackathon journey was very exciting actually we had fun and we made new friendships and the most fantastic thing about it is that you will talk to lots of people who share the same interests and you will discover new dimensions.
In our opinion hackathon is the art of how to find a way to work with your team and how to communicate with them, this part was so easy because we learned it fast.
We were inspired by the idea of making the impossible possible, that doesn’t seem even real and it happened only in fictional books, so we were inspired by this idea what if we made a comic book that have a story that seems impossible but it's not its very real.
