The solar parker journey

High-Level Project Summary

The main reason for developing this project is to be able to teach young learners about space and astronomy in general by getting them curious enough about these topics to want to learn about them, so to do this we made a 3d animated video using the blender, after effects and illustrator which covers the whole trip of the parker probe in an educational way this solves the challenge as it provides a way to educate young learners and get them interested in space where one of those could turn up as a scientist just because he was inspired by this piece of education and that’s why this project is so important.

Detailed Project Description

Our concept is based on developing a simple and understandable way to explain the Parker Solar Probe's journey, so that people who have never heard of it can now almost know everything about it, starting from how the idea was conceived to the most recent updates that faced the spacecraft near the sun (it's current position) and passing through the orbit path of the craft and the reason that explains why this orbit specifically from the earth is passing through. Venus’s orbit (the gravity assist) to reaching the sun’s Corona. All of this information is shown and explained to the audience by using a high-quality animated video created by using technical methods and applications to facilitate the journey’s Ideas and details by adding visual pleasure not only by explaining the journey but also the spacecraft blueprints and how it is useful for the ship to withstand mostly any outer circumstances in space as the heat shield which is important to protect the ship, especially from the sun’s heat and solar dust that may lead to some damage to the ship after a long time and other phenomena that parker solar probe encounter In addition to explaining how useful is the ship to the scientific and space domain as it helps them to understand more about the biggest star in our solar system which is the reason which makes humanity continue by avoiding possible dangers. Also, the animated video surely will include a voice-over to explain all the events. Furthermore, the project shows how the rocket was launched and Rocket's disintegration stages. The project shall educate the audience about such a great huge achievement that was done after many trials of other spacecraft that did not get as close to the sun as parker's solar probe which is a great motivation.

Space Agency Data

The benefit of Nasa space is using the sites and research papers that are located on the site. The research papers and sites we use to know everything about the rocket from the creation and how the idea of the parker comes to “Dr. parker” and when he started to think about the idea until 2012 and when he and the other scientists started to the solar parker ship from 2012 to 2017 and when they launched the parker solar ship in 2018 and we know a lot of information about the sun and the corona and switchbacks and solar wind which cause damage in the satellites. Also, we know that the solar parker ship used Venus gravity to increase its acceleration to reach faster to the sun, and one of the most important pieces of information that we know is the structure of the “solar parker ship” and how it bears with the heat of the sun. The parker solar ship will go out in 2024.

Hackathon Journey

It can't be denied that nasa space apps challenge provided us with a ton of experiences. Starting from the challenges' analysis and reading to reach the most appropriate challenge then moving to the deep search which is need to be done to solve the challenge or to know more about it. But the most important part of the space apps journey was the Hackathon which literally made us reach our very last potential to be shown at work and also cooperative spirit. The team chose this challenge as the most suitable method to make a content that can be reachable to almost all ages specifically the new generation trying to make them interested in space was making a high quality animated video of the journey with adding special storytelling method. Time management was the best method to resolve any challenges during managing and completing the work and also good communication between the team itself to achieve a lot of work in the smallest possible time .We would like all of the Suez Canal university organizers in the Hackathon specially Mohammed Hesham for providing us with some needed unavailable tech.
