High-Level Project Summary
"Journey to the Sun" tries to inform children about the great discoveries made by Parker Solar Probe. Through a short video made with Canva they will be able to access basic infomation about the expedition: facts about the launch and the space craft, difficulties experienced, findings made. The video was designed to be accessible, including text and audio, making it possible for different people to get the information. To learn about this in a playful way, by the end of the video there is the chance to play a game doing a similar journey to the Sun, in which the players have to answer questions or take challenges related to the journey of Parker Solar Probe.

Detailed Project Description
The video shows basic information about the journey of the Parker Solar Probe through pictures, text and audio. In this way, it can be used as a teaching resourse inside a classroom or in autonomous learning.
After the video, there is a collective game in which there are some questions to check the understanding of the video. In this game, the players themselves are the ones that correct eachother (peer correction), which enables collaborative learning and the reasurance of knowledge by explaing things to others.
With these resourses we expect that boys and girls can access this information and get to understand it, sharing it with others. From what we have seen, the information available on the web is in an elevated language making it difficult for kids to understand. This is why we think our project would be a good contribution.
The tools we used are Canva and Genially. It was originally made in Spanish (our mother tongue) and translated to English.
Space Agency Data
The websites used to get information were:
- NASA Enters the Solar Atmosphere for the First Time, Bringing New Discoveries
- NASA's Parker Solar Probe Touches The Sun For The First Time (youtube)
- Parker Solar Probe
- Traveling to the Sun: Why Won’t Parker Solar Probe Melt?

Hackathon Journey
The Space Apps Hackaton experience was fun, educative and challenging. We discoverd that a space craft was able to get very near the Sun, more than any other could, being able to get new information about space, Venus and the Sun.
Our team chose this challenge because we thought it was the most interesting, since we did not know anything about the Parker Solar Probe, and we believe it is important that other kids know aobut it, too.
To do it we used well known platforms that we could easily use like Canva and Genially.
We divided jobs: some read the information, some others wrote the main ideas, others were in charge of the game and others of the video. It was difficult to manage the time.
