On The Way To The Sun: The Journey Of Parker Solar Probe

High-Level Project Summary

As the Sun plays an important role in the solar system, the exploration of the Sun should be started. It is because we still cannot explain all the mysteries which are discovered from the Sun, and that is why a high-tech spacecraft exists, the Parker Solar Probe. Its mission is to approach the Sun and send back the collected data to the Earth for research. To approach the Sun, there are a lot of challenges that must be solved so that the exploration of the Sun can be done smoothly. In our project, we will show you how the Parker Solar Probe confronts the challenges, and eventually approaches the Sun.

Detailed Project Description

What exactly does it do?


In the project which is the video we have made, we provide thousands of information and explanation about how the Parker Solar Probe face challenges when it goes into the corona and explores the surrounding of the Sun.


How does it work?


We have added a lot of information and simplified it so it will be easier for the young audience to understand and remember about the Sun and the Parker Solar Probe. We also look through many resources to ensure that we use the latest and the most accurate data.


What benefits does it have? 


Since the video has been simplified and become easier to understand, it is suitable for more people. We trust that this video can whet people's interest in the Sun and the Parker Solar Probe.


What do you hope to achieve?


We hope that this video can make more people interested in space so that space exploration will never be stopped.


What tools, coding languages, hardware, or software did you use to develop your project?


We have used Canva to design and Blender to make this video.

Space Agency Data

In our project, most of the data are collected from NASA's websites. We identified the most important parts of the websites and understood them so that we can display the information in an easier way and avoid the wrong usage of information. For example, when we were using the information about the Sun, we looked through other resources to increase the accuracy.

Hackathon Journey

How would you describe your Space Apps experience?


We are delighted and rejoice as we can participate in this challenge and learn a lot of new knowledge about the space while we are doing the research. It is a splendid opportunity for us to have a conversation with global space lovers and exchange our knowledge about space. We hope that everyone can enjoy themselves in these marvelous challenges.


What did you learn?


In this challenge, we learned how to consider others' opinions and teamwork with each other. And the most important thing is, we had learned more knowledge about space, especially how to approach the Sun.


What inspired your team to choose this challenge?


We had noticed that most people focused on the far-away part of space, but not the only star in our solar system, Sun, which is really important to us. We hoped that more people can learn a lot about the Sun as its effects a lot of our lives.


What was your approach to developing this project?


We had done much research before we started our project. To use the information better, we always discussed it before we put the data into the video.


How did your team resolve setbacks and challenges?


When we met setbacks and challenges, we made conversations with other teammates to understand others' opinions. We always trusted and helped each other so that we could finish the video smoothly.
