A Journey to the Mysteries : The Parker Solar Probe

High-Level Project Summary

We created a COMIC STRIP based on the story of the Parker Solar Probe with an exciting plot, colorful pictures and drawings. A comic strip can provide a fun and fascinating way to tell the journey of Parker. With cool story telling and attractive pictures it easily attract young minds to read and get informed in a short span of time.

PROJECT

Created a Comic Strip explaining the story of the Parker Solar Probe.


OBJECTIVE

To acknowledge young uprising minds about the Parker Solar Probe and its journey to the Sun in a simple and effective way.


PLOT

The audience could read the story of a retired NASA scientist explaining his experiences and knowledge about the mission to his curious grandson who is excited to know more.

Hackathon Journey

It was awesome. Learned a lot about the Parker Solar Probe and the Sun. The fact that Parker Solar Probe is the first ever man-made mission to touch the sun captured our attention and we were curious to know more about it. After basic research and gathering the information we needed the best way for it reach young minds. Time shortage was an issue. But with active participation of all members we were able to tackle the difficulties and we created a comic strip with interesting plot and cool pictures.

On the Way to the Sun

On April 28, 2021, during its eighth flyby of the Sun, Parker Solar Probe did what no other human-made object has ever done: it “touched” the Sun—meaning the spacecraft flew through the Sun’s upper atmosphere (the corona) and sampled particles and magnetic fields there. Your challenge is to develop a creative way to tell young audiences the inspiring story of Parker’s record-breaking journey from Earth to the Sun and all the perils it overcame on the way.
