High-Level Project Summary

The team “To Touch the Stars” have developed a self-assessment tool for recording data over a long period of time— A log. The Mission Log we developed incorporates a fictional character named Ozzy in order to attract kids by engaging and transferring them from reality to the immersive world of fantasy with exciting adventures. The medium includes a clear plot, simple explanations of space phenomena that Parker encounters on its journey—including extreme temperatures, dust, the solar wind, and solar storms—and how these phenomena can impact life on Earth.

Detailed Project Description

The definitive origin story of Parker Solar Probe with his fellow mate Ozzy, the heroes who did what no other human-made object has ever done. Between missions to touch our home star and keeping the promise he made to his family, Ozzy has a lot to say. He embarks on a space adventure alongside his ambitious companion, A Star Command exploration vessel, Parker. Despite a series of colorful exploits, Ozzy has a habit of making mission logs to help him focus. As this motley crew tackles their toughest mission yet, they must learn to withstand being marooned in the vast space.

Hackathon Journey

The team “To Touch the Stars” is greatly interested in space mysteries. In addition, we write stories and really love reading books and blogs. This Hackathon was our golden opportunity to learn and explore about the topics that we were deeply interested in. The “On the way to the Sun” challenge was ideal to unleash our originality and creativity.
