High-Level Project Summary
GladosIono is a web portal with information on the ionosphere. The user is able to choose a POI (point of interest) on a map of the Earth, corresponding to the latitude and longitude coordinates of a SEU registered by the CASSIOPE satellite. The user is then presented with environmental data related to this POI or the region around it, such as northern lights observation, ion density, electron temperature, which is very useful for research on the ionosphere. Researchers could use our tool to try to explain various phenomenons occurring in the ionosphere by accessing multiple data sources at once on one specific ROI (region of interest).
