High-Level Project Summary

So our project bascially provides an idea of making a special type of microbe that could survive the stresses of space, we mainly took inspiration from methanogens, tardigrades, and pikas.

Detailed Project Description

So our project bascially provides an idea of making a special type of microbe that could survive the stresses of space, we mainly took inspiration from methanogens, tardigrades, and pikas, however we did look at other organisms as well, not all of the research is included in the final project due to relevancy. It benefits us by giving an idea of how we can use our current knowledge of extremeophiles, to engineer a microbe that could survive the extreme enviornments. We used microsoft word and google slides for making the presentation, and we mainly used google for the research.

Hackathon Journey

It was great, exciting but also quite stress inducing, but it was GREAT way to get our minds working and thinking again. The reason we choose our challenge was because it felt like the challenege that had an open-hand while also giving clear guidelines about what NASA expects from us.
