Can you help us find the “Space Biological Super Hero”?

To design the project presented, we thought of creating an organism that brings together many of the qualities that we listed above.

At that time, we analyzed the information contained in the GeneLab repository, to determine if it would be necessary to evaluate the tests carried out.

There we discovered the enormous diversity of tests on different organisms, and it seemed appropriate that the super organism to be created was made in a collaborative way, between our selection and the interaction of the users.

Also, we wanted to give space for luck, as we believe that human research and exploration still has a long way to go, and many things are sometimes discovered by chance. Sometimes it's an "intended" luck, of course.

That is why we wanted to put together a random and interactive "bestiary".

The creative process was as follows:

• Search for images of each selected being
• Selection of representative images
• Digital drawing made by Ana

• Creation of sentences that highlight the qualities of each organism, made by Emilia
• Order of the sentences and the names of the organisms
• Combination of names, phrases and digital drawings
• Creation of an interactive web page with the combination of the content

• Translation into English and Spanish of all the content

Conclusions

The bestiary became a playful, fun and very exciting project. We show it to other people so that they can enjoy it and interact with it, achieving a lot of laughter and interest in the proposed organisms.

The wonderful thing is that we haven't figured out what the “Space Biological Super Hero” is yet, but we do know that it is found in some combination. Can you help us find it?

Determining the path

To solve this challenge we have followed these steps:

1. Analyze the data provided by NASA, focusing on:

• The Biological Space Program
• Repository GeneLab
• The dangers of space travel

1. Discuss, in a playful and collaborative way, how to solve the dangers of space travel
2. Define the presentation format of the organisms for the challenge
3. Production of the content of the challenge

We chose this challenge because last year we also participated in the project of thinking of the Earth as a superhero, and we thought it was very good to continue those ideas with this new challenge.
