High-Level Project Summary
Pyxis is envisioned to create an interactive experience for users globally. We developed a game where users can fully experience what it would be like to become an astronaut. Inside the game, users can use the Terra tool to play around with different planet properties which will show scientific research along with superhero biological species developed by an AI.Users can then complete scientific missions, move up in ranks and play online with other users.

Detailed Project Description
Pyxis provides an interactive and educational user experience to users globally to navigate the different scientific possibilities of different biological organisms based on specific customizable planetary attributes.
The user experience as a whole allows for a fun and inspiring journey for a wide range of user groups to collaborate and play online as well as progress through different missions set out in the game allowing you to feel like an astronaut.
The current MVP and mockup provide a view of the possibilities of the app where the MVP simulates the Terra tool within the application allowing you to customize different core planetary attributes such as temperature, gravity, mass, atmospheric pressure, and times periods pertaining to rotation and revolution.
The current MVP to demonstrate the platform and the game is portrayed using the Python Kivy platform which showcases a glimpse of the Terra tool that you would use along your missions to build your space biology superhero.
Our codebase for the tool is presented here: https://github.com/varshithkumar/pyxis
Our video demo showcasing the idea and platform is provided here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gzy4uJBkStiVcNifeqJc0UvVOyxq8Et2/view?usp=sharing

Hackathon Journey
For some of us, this has been our first hackathon.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was deciding on which project would fit best with our set of skills as a team. We found that the space biology superhero challenge allowed us to use our own superpowers to have big dreams.
