Space-Bio-Pedia is a fun interactive story based game that enables users of all age groups to learn about the various biological phenomenons related to spaceflight through a VR experience. It explores the the difficulties and physical issues faced by Astronauts during their space flight journey and tells the tale of how different organisms deal with those difficulties. It combines their abilities into the player creating the ultimate Space Superhero, superior than humans and resistant to space troubles.
Space-Bio-Pedia! What does it do? And how does it do it?
It lets you step in the shoes of an Astronaut, so that one can experience the difficulties space puts forward for their self.
As the player moves forward, he/she are faced with hazards that only a space superhero can face off. So, in order to survive one must make the right choices by unlocking the powers of organisms immune to one or more of these hazards in particular.
We start with providing a glimpse of different features (powers of organisms) for the player to choose from. These powers are temporary won’t last forever and space hazards will never stop coming. To be able to keep up with the pace of space evil, player has to engage in mini games to earn points to know more about the strengths different organisms have and to be able to use them.
Benefits??
This application provides users an interactive way to learn in depth about space hazards and how space agencies such as NASA itself, plan on protecting the Astronauts from them. It provides you details about the self-protection measures organisms use and also about the organisms under research.
What do we hope to achieve?
We hope that we generate impact on users by making it worth their time to engage in this VR journey by providing them valuable insights about Space hazards and the ongoing research and data regarding the same.
What tools, coding languages, hardware, or software did you use to develop your project?
We have used Unity 3D, Figma, Shader Lab and C# script to create the same.

Space exploration involves overcoming numerous challenges: extreme gravity, disrupted sleep and circadian rhythms, limited supplies, and access to medical care, etc. Your challenge is to design a platform that allows users to explore space travel stresses, understand how diverse organisms deal with these stresses, and then build a “Space Biology Superhero” by combining features from these organisms.
