The Travel of Helpful Space Mole

High-Level Project Summary

We have developed a platform which will help the our space mole when it travels to space. We decided to send a mole to space for this challenge. We think that our mole will be the first mole which travels to space. It is important that till now, any mole has never been sent into space. And the platform we create alltogether will measure the changes which belong to the mole like the body temperature or blood pressure. And there is also a distance sensor on the platform that shows where the Mole has gone.

Detailed Project Description

We have developed a platform which will help the our space mole when it travels to space. The name of our platform is “Helpful Space Mole”. We can say that our platform is a kind of Robot. “Helpful Space Mole” will measure the changes which belong to the mole like the body temperature, blood pressure. And there is also a distance sensor on the platform that shows where the Mole has gone. “Helpful Space Mole” will also record the changes on the mole due to gravity and pressure difference.

On this robot, there are air tank, oxygen tank, a thermometer for body temperature and another thermometer for air thermometer.(Photo of “Helpful Space Mole”)

Our platform will be a robot whose duty is measuring and recording.

Space Mole wears an astronaut suit resistant to space conditions. And the oxygen tank is tied up to tail of the mole. (Photo of "Helpful Space Mole" with Space Mole in astronaut suit)

Space Agency Data

We have glanced at the titles below and decided which variables we could benefit for our project.

Hackathon Journey

Our Spacece Apps experience was very exciting because it was the first time that we did the circuit together.

Thanks to this challenge we learned;

  • to make a circuit by researching
  • Using technology and electronic devices for ourselves
  • How teamwork is important and useful
  • How to make a distance sensor
  • Studying with difficult topics
  • Working face to face together as the pandemic conditions were stretched even more
  • to make projects in more serious challenges
  • to exchange ideas

In our homes, there are some robotics equipments which belong to us or our families. And we thought that we could use these sets to create our platform. These robotic sets inspired us to choose this challenge.

For this project, firstly we talked about the materials that were needed and then we gathered these materials. We worked at each of us' houses and try to exchange our ideas.

We would like to thank to our families for their cooperation and patience.

References

We used sensors, led lights, connecting cables, roboting coding, recycled materials in order to create our platform.
