High-Level Project Summary
Build Your Space Superhero Our game is about building your own human with special features so they can successfully live in space. We created this game to educate people on the struggles of living in space. The game puts the players through the challenges that astronauts go through and then allows them to create a special human that can overcome the challenges. Educational games are an extremely smart and effective idea as people can have fun while learning. These games mostly attract younger people like us and that is essential to help the younger generations to learn and grow smarter. We hope that our game will encourage the younger generation to learn about space travel.

Detailed Project Description
Our project raises awareness on the struggles of space travels through a fun, educational game. The game teaches players about the challenges astronauts face and then allows the player to build their own human using animal characteristics. The game will encourage more people to learn about space travel. We hope to educate the younger generation about space travel and encourage them to learn about the universe we live in. We used code.org to build our game and we coded it with javascript. We hope you enjoy our game!
Space Agency Data
In our project, we used the data from NASA on the 5 hazards of human spaceflight to learn about some of the challenges astronauts face so we could implement them in our game.
Hackathon Journey
We had a lot of fun participating in this event and we plan to participate again in the future. We learned many things about the struggles of spaceflight and are very happy we participated. We are beginners and have never done this before and we chose this topic because we both enjoy biology, we know a lot about rockets and space, and we both enjoy game development and coding. Since we were beginners, we originally had no idea what to do but as we went along we began to understand and plan out what we were going to create. There were many challenges we faced and we fought about multiple ideas but we worked it out and are proud of our progress in the game.
References
We used NASA's data on the 5 hazards of space travel. We used code.org to make the game and coded it using javascript. We drew all our images and wrote every line of code.
