way to space

High-Level Project Summary

We have made a website where we explained the most common problems facing astronauts such as muscle atrophy, rapid heart rate, low pressure, lack of gravity ,how astronauts get water from, during this journey after that we talked about the problem of rapid heartbeat and its causes.we made an effective solution to solve it and we have explained this solution well in a video on the website. We made a device in the form of bracelet the idea of this device is that it will contain a measuring device heart rate and a sensor Because after going to space many changes happen like the exit of fluids from the tissues then the jaws stop moving so the astronaut can't alert the crew that he has a problem .

Detailed Project Description

When the heart rate is measured by the measuring device heart rate,if it is found that the heart rate has increased from the normal limit, the bracelet will emit a green light through the sensor to alert the rest of the crew and the injured astronaut that there is a danger with you but when the heart rate increases at a more dangerous rate, the bracelet will emit a red light as a warning to the rest of the crew that this astronaut has a problem then they will help him quickly before he suffers from any complications and he can stay a live and now I will tell you about the pros of our device. Why we the bracelet? Because it's a small thing that doesn't need a large mass

It won't be a burden to the astronaut during the journey but it will only alert him and the rest of the crew to the time of danger

You may have another question, why we used light especially not sound?

We used rays or lights in particular and didn't use a sound emanating from the device because, the light is an electromagnetic wave that doesn't a medium for propagation, while the sound is a mechanical wave that needs a medium to propagate and we all know that the space doesn't have any material mediums. So mechanical waves such as sound will not be able to propagate in space , so we turned to electromagnetic waves that can propagate in the vacuum and these rays will help the other astronauts easily to know that there is a danger to an astronaut from the crew and then they will help him fast, quickly and easily

Space Agency Data

We used many things in our project like NASA website and other websites also scientific books and we went to the faculty of medicine to know more information about the heart rate and the space medicine NASA inspired us through the life of astronauts and the problems which they face in the space and we tried hard to collect the hardest problems and solutions for them and we created a new solution for the heart rate

Hackathon Journey

It was very good because , we learned the right meaning of cooperation and we all helped each other until the end . And many problems happend with the website while we were uploading it , but we tried hard until the last minute before submission but unfortunately we didn't upload it and we will try again until we do it because we learned that we shouldn't give up at all. We chose this challenge because, we wanted to help the astronauts and also to show people the space life to inspire them to work hard to solve the rest of the problems like we did so we found that a website will help us to achieve our will and also we can put videos to show the idea more clearly and I have a big experience in the field of editing so we said we will make videos to put them in the website and that what we exactly did . We spend a lot of time until we reached the right causes and we have revised every information before put it on the website and until we do the idea in video editing. and also doing the website and coding take us a long time

References

Websites like NASA and others, we used programming and the summer program which was with South Africa helped me to help the team in programming and the scientific writing and we used canva and in video to create a simulation of the solution in the video and our solution is new
