High School Space Camp

Using space mathematics to explore the reading literacy of a high school student

High-Level Project Summary

The purpose of this study is to explore the situation of situational literacy problems faced by senior first-year students, including students' reading literacy and reading strategies, and to summarize the dimensions of the problem from the perspective of students. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis. This study was conducted using multiple elective courses in the first year of senior high school, using the space math questions published by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to answer the questions for the first-year senior high school students, and observed the students' answers.

Detailed Project Description

Finally, through the content of the students' re-formation questions, an inductive analysis is carried out. The research sample is a municipal high school in Taoyuan City. The students belong to the middle and high level, and there are 25 students in the multiple elective class in the first year of senior high school.
