High-Level Project Summary
Ever heard of the James Webb Telescope? It is currently the largest and most powerful in the world and due to its structure and power it needs to operate in space, in addition to having more than eighteen mirrors, in which it captures images of the cosmos. And to explain how this device works, we developed a game. In "Androlynx" the player impersonates a scientist hired by NASA to operate it, with the aim of finding new galaxies, planets, constellations etc... And all its functioning and functions will be explained in the game, bringing the feeling of a scientist and more real space explorer, plus the possibility of finding out more about space and about James Webb.

How do we face the challenge?
We think of the challenge as a way for all types of people to understand how the tool works, having a broad understanding on the part of everyone demonstrating why it was created. We decided to create a story for greater user interaction with the game, being something simple and with good interaction, not to get monotonous, which was necessary for us to know how the telescope is operated by land. The interface was also based.
How we developed the project?
Since the launch of the new James Webb telescope, many people still don't know its full potential and how it works. AAs an objective of this project, we decided to develop an educational game based on data provided by NASA,
for people of any age, whether experts in the subject or not, all with a friendly and easy-to-access interface, presenting the operation of the James Webb telescope and displaying fantastic images recorded by it, in addition to a form of learning.
First
First we went to understand how the Telescope works by looking for different sources of text and video to complete the project, I understand its history and the reason for its construction, as well as at the beginning we did a survey of everything we needed to know about the machine and how it operates, to that we can develop the game that conveys how it operates and also its importance to humanity.
The game:
First, the game at NASA, where the player is a visitor who is at an event given by a scientist.

After that, the visitor is invited to learn in a practical way how the telescope works.
The experiment works as follows: the player must align all the mirrors on a single point, to demonstrate that all the aligned reflections form a stronger light.

After this analogy is presented to the player, he must test it in a practical way, only now operating the James Web telescope.
In addition to this stage, the player can go through several stages like this one!
Space Agency Data
The data were used to create alternative ways of explaining how the telescope works and the images it took.
Hackathon Journey
This was the first time that both members of the group participated in a hackathon, it was an amazing experience for everyone, it is sure to be something we will take with us for the rest of our lives. We chose the challenge "Learning through a looking glass" because we had a brief knowledge about James Webb and his potential, and with the proposal to develop a game, we were even more excited for being an area that interests us.
Despite being our first participation, we managed to organize ourselves very well and have a great synergy between the whole team, after we separated what we would have in our project, we divided ourselves into three pairs and this ended up facilitating the execution of the work, in addition to always We maintain great communication between everyone.
We learned a lot not only about James Webb, but also about how he works, how infrared rays work, how he captures the image and most importantly, we learned to work better as a team. We had great experiences in developing "Androlynx", we were very satisfied and happy with our participation!
