Deep outer-space

High-Level Project Summary

The James Webb Space Telescope is the largest, most powerful space telescope ever built. To make an understanding of what is JWST we decided to make a Game that shows JWST's features and parts. By playing the game, we make the user learn about the parts of the telescope and how each element help the process that the JWST went through to get a wonderful and new image from space that can not be taken by another type of telescope. During the game, the user can compare the parts of the James Webb Space Telescope with parts of other telescopes, by providing them with a visual image for each part this will allow them to gain a better understanding of their features.

Detailed Project Description

Deep outer space is a game that introduces the James Web Telescope in terms of its component parts in addition to its work in space by giving the user opportunities to complete many interesting stages and develop the telescope at each stage to explore space further. Upon researching, we discovered that no game is like ours. our game is fun and attractive it allows the player to make some tasks and develop his telescope for every task. our purpose for creating this game is to help people learn about the James Webb Space Telescope’s amazing capabilities, by making it fun and easier to understand it. we used Adobe After Effects

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Photoshop

Space Agency Data

we used the "scope it out" game, in order to understand the parts of the JWST parts. Also, Data from NASA allowed us to gain a comprehensive understanding of the telescope's operation and its parts.

Hackathon Journey

The experience was startling, it allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of space, especially JWST, the most important telescope in the world and it was impressive to know how this perfect telescope will find the first galaxies that formed in the early universe. we start our project by understanding and gaining information about JWST, after preparing the data we start thinking about how should this information be presented to the player to be more fun and attractive by providing tasks to do. we would like to thank our university An-Najah National University for creating a comfortable environment full of positive energy and help and appreciate all the organizers that were the reason for the amazing Hackathon.
