Family game "Space frog"

High-Level Project Summary

During the hackathon we developed a desktop game about a frog in the space. The main idea is to help to learn about James Webbs telescope while helping Froggy to complete various tasks. Froggy asks users to help navigate through quiz and puzzle. Quiz has question about the telescope itself. Puzzle contains images taken by James Webbs telescope and you need to find the correct combination of pieces for each Puzzle. This game is dedicated to inspire children to take interest in outer spaces and help them learn about James Webb telescope together with their family or teachers. It also popularises images from the telescope.

Detailed Project Description

When you first load the game, you end up on the main menu window. Here you have four options: solve a puzzle, take a quiz, learn information about developers or quit.

If you press puzzle button you are presented with puzzle grid and random pieces and you need to find the right combination. After you play the puzzle minigame you can either continue playing or go back to main menu and choose a quiz.

Quiz consists of 10 questions if you answer correctly, you get happy Froggy, if you answer incorrectly, you get a Froggy on fire. Also, there is point system that fills up rocket with fuel so if you answer correctly the Froggy will fly further into space and visit various stars.

And lastly if you press button quit game closes.

The game has creative, fun interfaces that will help maintain children's interest in the game. We aim to create an interactive experience that will inspire children to learn more about space and the telescope,
