Lord Of The Golden Mirrors has received the following awards and nominations. Way to go!

Global Nominee

LOTGM-1 (LORD OF THE GOLDEN MIRRORS-1)

High-Level Project Summary

Education processes are now organized by addressing the Z generation. Considering the characteristics of the Z generation, virtual reality technologies are used more frequently. In this context, virtual game design was realized by forming a team using virtual reality technology and teaching technologies with virtual games within Kuşadası Bahçeşehir College.Within the scope of the study, the features of the James Webb Space Telescope were examined and suitableThe topics are tried to be taught in the game.We used the high power of Unreal Engine in our game. Our game requires a graphics card with at least 4 GB of RAM and can open the game on 2 GB video cards.

Detailed Project Description

Our project is made using Unreal Engine game engine and using Unreal physics Engine.

The name of our game is Lord Of The Golden Mirrors. Our game is a robot that changes weight according to the z3 series gravity. The code name of the robot is U2. The robot provides vision with infrared receivers.

There are Mars - Mars Nato center - Moon - World Maps in our game.

We Have Named the Lights You Have Seen on the Moon as the Layer of the Bottom Star. The name we have given to the refraction of the Photon Stimulated Desorption layer of Star Lights as it passes and forming a luminous image.

There is a normal road for those who cannot complete the track in moon, but those who do the track see a magnificent view.

We Created Our Own Blueprint About Blueprint We created a function called Move To so that the Platforms on the Moon can move. The function subtracts its Own Position from Point A and normalizes it, then the local position of the platform x its location on the world is done, then point a is subtracted from the resulting number, then its local position + Result Is Done If Speed If we want to add speed x point A x local position – Point B.

You do the same to Point B.

Point A for Teleport – Local Position + Teleporter position x 3 this math operation draws a line from point A to local position draws a line from teleporter position to local position then multiplies by 3 to find its location in the 3d universe.

To make it slowmotion, I added a slowmo variable to the letter z of the input part so that it triggers the game timer set when we press the z key. slowmo branch isSlowmo True Game.timer :2 branch is slowmo Flase Game.timer reset.

Our project provides information about the James Webb telescope, especially to children between the ages of 7-15. It aims to make them learn about the studies about space in a fun way. The aim of the project is to teach the most basic information about JWST. This game is advanture/puzzle.Interesting visual effects related to space have been added to the project.Highlights were placed on JWST's mirrors. The game is open to everyone for free.We wanted to give fun information about JWST and NASA to little science enthusiasts through computer games. We think that it will be easier to teach children with games in the modern age.We used Unreal Engine in the game We played sound effects and cinematic with Trigger Volumes and added a teleport system. We made the models with Maya 3d and Fusion 360.We made the blurred image with Photoshop. We designed maps with Megascans and Quixel.

We tried to use open sources to us. We collected data from the links above. Before JWST, we visualized a blurry-looking photo. We emphasized that thanks to JWST, clearer images with 18 mirror can be obtained. The information we received from the main sources allowed us to direct our project. We aimed that those who play our game have access to the right information.Especially the first images from JWST inspired us to design the game.We gathered information by browsing NASA official sites to study the JWST and the instruments it has.We aim to be a team that promotes and makes everyone love JWST in a longer period of time.

Hackathon Journey

It allowed us to make realistic observations. We wonder what kind of information the James Webb telescope will provide in the future. We follow up-to-date information closely. We think that games are an indispensable element for children now.We thought it might be exciting to master JWST in-game.There were things we didn't know about the Unreal Engine final version. We tried to solve these by reading forum sites. An acquaintance of us who has been playing games for 25 years and is interested in space and science shared his knowledge with us. For this reason, we would like to thank Metin Çelikez.
