InfroEntertainment software app

High-Level Project Summary

The project represents a lot of information about the James Webb Space telescope from how it works to the pictures that have been taken by the telescope until now. We expect that it will have a great impact as it would open the minds of people of all ages towards the amazing capabilities of the telescope. Moreover, it will inspire children, teenagers, and adults to know more about astronomy in a general way in a fun and interesting way

Detailed Project Description

The topic of our challenge is learning through the looking glass where we are working on a software

development game to help people learn about the James Webb Space Telescope’s amazing capabilities

in a creative and fun way.

The game is in the form of an application. The player would be able to control a spaceship. The player

would overshoot some asteroids and gain stars while flying in space to be able to reach the aimed

destination It includes images of the tools by which the telescope is constructed and some images that

have been taken by the telescope from space until now that are attached to a brief explanation about

each image, in addition, the game shows the history of the telescope and its abilities in a simple way.

The project was responsive to the challenge for which it was submitted as we develop a game that

represents the James Webb telescope’s capabilities.

The game is partly completed as the

fundamental/basic requirements were added but it hasn’t been finished yet because we are working on

adding more details.

We hope to add more informations and upgrade the programming language and technical details.

We used MIT app inventor as main programming language and we used some photos from nasa website.

Space Agency Data

All the photos and background from Nasa website.

We put it inside the information screens after every level.

It developed our project and we reduce the information and essay it benefit from the photo

Hackathon Journey

It was hard, stressed and funny ,we all took place in a new experience and we all worked together, and gave 100% of our Energy in our app to be unique and special, we saw all the teams and they were awesome and we didn't even think we could take anything above them, we made really good friends from different governorates and they were all hard working and deserve all the respect we could give them.

We chose this challenge because it was different, we never heard of camp or educational trip that learns you any thing about telescopes and we conclude that the human brain is more excited to listen to the new information than the usual one so we combined between the most 2 things that attract the human brain : games (Entertainment) and new and unique information.

We all saw in this app something different and special that push us to develop it.

Every one of the team knew his missions, duties and tasks and anyone find error or problem , he goes to the team directly and tell us and we could help him.

The Judges, They were so nice to us and never make us stressed moreover , the day before the judging day they were with us tell us our mistakes so nicely and friendly , even after the hackthon they communicate with us and I want to thank them so much.
