High-Level Project Summary
JWST Game is a game which enables players to scan the universe from JWST. Instead of emphasizing on scientific proper nouns and knowledge ,the game consists of easier explanation and intuitive manner. Both of JWST and the university come with delicate models owing to giving better player experience and driving players to know the beauty of the universe and the mighty of JWST.

Detailed Project Description
The game can control JWST(camera) with mouse and keyboard, learning some simple information about JWST and recently released pictures from NASA, ESA…etc.
We build it in Unity (C#), and export it based on WebGL. And the entire structure can be simply divided into three parts, “GameScene(mission menu)”, “Missions”, and “Achievements System”.
GameScene is the universe in which the player looks through JWST, and there are lots of missions hidden in the scene waiting for the player to discover.
Missions are conducted by imitating how astronomers discover new things in the universe, but in a more easy way. By only a few clicks, players can finish a mission less than 5 minutes.
Achievements System can encourage players to discover new things in the universe, while it would save the achievements after the player finished it.
And of course, it can either resume games or start a new game !
Space Agency Data

We used this image in the mission 1 of the JWSTGame. In mission 1, the player needs to find this star in a infinite sky. With the beautiful and real image, we want to let the players find the beauty of the universe and feel the reality of this game.

And we refer to the article above, capture some important parts then organizing and turn into a new text which is easier to understand. When player find the star above, the text will be shown on the screen, which can increase scientific knowledge of this game.

Hackathon Journey
When hearing of this competition at the beginning, we thought that it would be a tough challenge for us. Despite this, we were still eager to seize the great opportunity to enhance our abilities, not only in program design but also in many other fields. Our team has only four people, which makes finishing this project become more difficult, for knowing that we have common goals and ideals, we still decided to take part in the challenge. Fortunately, what we want to do is the same, so we chose our topic effortlessly. We chose the challenge about the JWST due to our common interests in developing a game which is not just for fun but for giving some educational meanings. Though having a clear idea, we determined the general direction of our game. However, we encountered some problems in collecting the information we needed. There are too many images on the internet, and they are too messy to sort out and to use. With this problem, we made some discussions and decided to change some parts of our game slightly. Finally, we determined the architecture of the entire game and approximately finished the project to express our idea. Attending this competition, we think the biggest gain is to learn how to solve a problem and achieve the goal within a short time and in the most efficient way.
