Learning through the looking glass

High-Level Project Summary

We developed a basic web based application to demonstrate the power of James Webb Telescope by comparing it with the other telescopes. It works by comparing images taken by James Webb Telescope with the images taken by other telescopes.

Detailed Project Description

It shows 4 telescopes and pictures taken by them of milky way Galaxy and Andrew meta galaxy. As you click on a specific telescope, you are provided with two options, one for milky way and the other for Andrew meta galaxy. Then you select the desired galaxy and it presents an image of that particular galaxy taken from that particular telescope. This is how you see that James Webb Telescope shows the most detailed images compared with other telescopes.

Hackathon Journey

Our hackathon journey was amazing. We learned quite new things and it was a unique experience to gather around and compete with such a huge number of participants. Our team loves astrophysics so that's what encouraged us to chose our challenge i.e. "Learning through the looking glass". Overall it was a wonderful experience with wonderful people.
