BRAIN EXPANSION GAME

High-Level Project Summary

What if we discovered the universe through a game? What if you could learn about the famous extraordinary telescope, James Webb, just by lying on your sofa or in your free time?We thought of an easy , instructive, and funny application game that will train your mind and make you learn about the potential of the most powerful ,complex telescope ever built. The brain expansion game is composed of four categories: memory, focus, speed, and problem-solving. In each category, you will develop competencies and, of course, learn about the capabilities of the James Webb Space Telescope.

Detailed Project Description

We’re simple human beings, which means, without superpowers, we always want to know and to explore new things. SWIR team members have the same questions in mind, which are, are we alone in the universe?

Is there extraterrestrial life? Why is astronomy science not related to our ordinary lives like the other sciences? Why do the majority of the people in this world pretend that they are not considered by this science? So, to respond to these questions, we decided to choose this challenge to learn more about the universe and to have a social impact on this target population.

Our solution has a unique and important slogan, which is that the universe is expanding and our brain too, by knowing that our purpose is to see the universe as we haven’t seen it before. Everyone can reduce or respond to his or her curiosity about the universe by knowing some information about the James Webb Telescope as a tool to make an insane discovery and to come upon what the new space telescope is seeing at the edge of the universe through our game. Learning, discovering, and ENJOYING are all opportunities that every player should benefit from from our solution.

There’s always something new to learn about space. SWIR’s mission will aid players in answering key questions about exoplanets and the evolution of the universe and to get people to discover the science behind turning future objectives into video games. We’ll also help people to stop seeing things around us with ordinary and superficial concepts. We’ll bring science to the general public using an effective and simplified strategy of playing, discovering, and learning at the same time.

The sky isn’t the limit in this challenge — it’s just the beginning; curiosity is the one thing that no one can take away from humans. We always want to know what is out there. For centuries, humans have wondered about what is on the edge of the universe, but it isn’t easy to know because of the immense size of the universe. However, there is a new tool in space, the James Webb space telescope, and it is about to make an insane discovery and come upon what the new space telescope is seeing at the edge of the universe. As a creative team in the NASA Challenge, our objective is to produce a game to establish an interactive space where players try to focus on this telescope as a powerful one to discover the galaxy.

Hackathon Journey

We used to separate cosmology from our ordinary life on earth, as if there was no closer relationship and impact between them.

But to work on the James Webb Space Telescope challenge, we’ve had to start with basic concepts like light. So learning what light is and its power to help us discover the expansion of the universe is so important. This information expands our consciousness too, through the combination of knowledge and meditation.

For instance, we know that the moon’s color is white because we simply see it white. But after this information about light, we quickly looked up to the moon, and started thinking and asking more questions out of curiosity to know why the moon’s light is represented in white. How it expresses itself to us, how far it’s close to our planet, how it teaches us many things using light... So through this meditation, we deduced how one single piece of information can change our vision and perspectives in real life.
