High-Level Project Summary

Summary:-Our solution about Nasa Space App Challenge(track the spaceship in 3d).We try to add new features that will make the application more usefulSearch Box at the search box you can search for any place on earth and press the search button earth model goes to this place by itself.Control you can rotate, and zoom in or out to earth by mouse or by controls found at the bottom.Track ISS you start the application and at the first at any position just press at Track button in the navigation bar so the model will fly to the ISS by itself.Styles we can display many styles of the earth to make the model clear(blue Marble, Bing Aerial, Bing Roads)

Detailed Project Description

At first, we use the earth model by (React-three-Drei, React-three-fiber) packages that use an old version of React framework, and when we start to combine the solution and integrate it by adding the spaceship model by three.js that was not available.


So we were forced to change the project structure and start to work with HTML CSS and javascript models by worldwind and also we use (three.js)which was in NASA resources and started to take coordinates of the ISS by ISStracker that was found in NASA resources also to track the space station at real-time by API

Space Agency Data

  1. we used world wind library from Nasa resources for building the globe
  2. we managed to get the data we need to get determine the position of the ISS from an online API (https://wheretheiss.at/w/developer)

Hackathon Journey

our mind and (soft or technical) skills are feeded with new and good experience .

we learned many things that are related to our fields especially in web field .

we felt this challenge was very related to our technical skills and we could do our best on it .

we chose our target age which is children, and youth to increase their passion to explore space and know more and more about the International Space station.
