High-Level Project Summary
Our aim is to build a web app that tracks the ISS in 3D, it will have a section that informs people about the accomplishments made by the space station and its history and shows the user how far the space station is from them. In addition to a section that shows the space station in its different phases and explain to the user each phase, with the functionality to show the user the location of the ISS throughout the day. We strive to do what other apps don’t, many of them track the space station and other space stations, but they don’t give you any additional information and most don’t include a 3D representation of the stations, we hope to change that.

Detailed Project Description
Our project contains many features on top of tracking the ISS in 3D and in real-time; we have a history page that informs people about the accomplishments made by the ISS and its history using interactive UI; in addition to the functionality to show the user the location of the ISS throughout the day and how far the space station is from them, a quiz page which is a fun way to have people interact with our website and test their knowledge and finally an about us page where the user can see our goals and why we chose to do this web app.
Our future aim for this project is to spread it among younger generations and educate them about the ISS and all its history and accomplishments, and to further improve our project we're working on adding more features.
We used Node JS and Three JS to accomplish this web app.
Space Agency Data
In our project, we used
1- Earth model.
2- ISS model.
3- Info from the Nasa website on how to spot the model.
4- Info from the Nasa website for the history page.
Hackathon Journey
This journey was enlightening in all ways, from teamwork to overcoming challenges together. We learned how to work under pressure and to always communicate with our team members to ensure delivering clear instructions which also helped us overcome most of our challenges.
The reason we chose tracking the ISS is to challenge ourselves to work on something not many people worked on before which is tracking it in 3D and making it accessible to everyone; one of our goals is to educate people about humanity's most advanced scientific laboratory in space in a non-traditional and interactive way.
