Track the space station in 3D: Everybody should know what it's like to be an astronaut

High-Level Project Summary

Our project is based on the projection of the astronaut's view and life in a space station through the modeling of 3-dimensional images, it would not only serve for the people who go to the space station but for the other people who could have that opportunity to have a wide view of what our planet is like and the orbits that surround it.

Detailed Project Description

Visualize the earth and its orbit in 3 dimensions, giving us an idea of what a life in the space station would be like, this project will benefit not only the people of NASA but all the people who want to know more about what space would be like, having an idea of what the earth looks like because 3 dimensional images give more focus than 2 dimensional ones.

For our project we use the programming language Javascript, Java, HTML and CSS, NODE. We use open source software related to NASA and not related to NASA, we use libraries and repositories with 3D models of the international space station and the earth, as well as open source platforms related to the monitoring of the space station in 3D.

Hackathon Journey

It was a unique and wonderful experience, we learned how important and great teamwork is through the challenge we set ourselves, by analyzing and seeing how interesting space is and how impressive the space station is, we did not realize how important which are the visualization of different resources in 3 dimensions that are widely used today but in the space station components they are in 2 dimensions and those in 3 dimensions are closed code, we are trying to implement the 3 dimensions in the different resources of the land, of course when developing the project sometimes there were no points in common or other times work or domestic problems but we kept in communication, giving our ideas and not leaving the group aside, personally we would like to thank the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil for giving us the space and the different international companies for giving us the opportunity opportunity for us, the young people of Guayaquil, to represent Ecuador in this event as important as Nasa Space.
