Welcome fellow tech & space enthusiasts into this 6th edition of the NASA space apps challenge here in Algiers. Brought to you by the one and only, Micro club.
This year, the NASA Space Apps Challenge returns for its 11th edition and for the 6th time in Algeria under the theme "Make Space", which highlights NASA's commitment to inclusion. This year's challenge will focus on science, technology, and the exploration of Earth and space. And WE, are aiming for you, to have the possibility to earn its status as the "Largest Universal Hackathon Ever. " because, There’s always Space to Experience IT
Who are we?
Micro Club is the first non-profit university scientific club in Algeria. our objective? creating a culture that promotes the development and popularization of computer science among the youth. To achieve this goal, Micro club covers many different aspects of computer science through workshops, events or even our community that is always calling : “Let’s Experience IT”
MICRO CLUB X SPACE APPS
We are in charge of organizing this event at the local level in order to increase the awareness and commitment of participants to the Space Apps Challenge by creating an environment suitable for Hackathons of this size.
For this edition, We are thinking big and hoping we will break the national records by gathering more than 1200 participants from all over Algeria, as well as various amateurs and professionals in the field.
THE HACKATHON EXPERIENCE
To add some spice to the actual hackathon. We intend to add a pre-hackathon half-day dedicated to various activities, talks, and workshops thus promoting a more welcoming and rich atmosphere of exchanges.
During the hackathon, we will first make sure to provide all necessary data from NASA itself, then mentors and coaches will be available to participants to answer questions and offer help if needed.
Finally, after the submission of the projects on the last day of the hackathon, our expert juries will select the three winners and finalists who will have the chance to see their projects compete for the first international place, after they get prizes from our side.
An IRL hackathon, but not only!!
In an ideal case where a place will be allocated to us during these three days for the event, we plan to welcome a total number of 1200 participants simultaneously, or :
- 100 participants in person.
- 100participants online, via a dedicated platform.

All you have to do now is to prepare yourself, sharpen your skills, and gather your team, cause the event will be here sooner than you think. And we hope we will have the chance, To experience IT. Together.
