Welcome to the 2022 Auckland, New Zealand - Aotearoa Local Event of the NASA International Space Apps Challenge. Registration is now open!

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge (Space Apps) is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others taking place online in cities around the world. Participating teams are called to engage the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA’s) free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space.

On Saturday, 1 October and Sunday, 2 October 2022, participants from around the world will come together to solve a series of challenges submitted by the NASA personnel. Space Apps introduces problem-solvers worldwide to NASA’s free and open data. Space Apps inspires collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The SpaceApps mission is to leverage the worldwide interest in the challenges to encourage the growth and diversity of the next generation of scientists, technologists, designers, storytellers, and engineers.
